Corruption

Usually the client gives me the idea, like "Draw someone corrupt." A very open brief.
Then I imagine possibilities with "What if...".
The possibilities begin there. The imagination starts working and a narrative is created:
What if an officer was in a dark tavern receiving a bribe?
What if he was in an alley with a bag of money?
What if they were offering money to someone who couldn't receive it, but was tempted?

It was with these questions that I arrived at this illustration for TTRPG Caster Wars.

Final illustration focused on storytelling and dramatic lighting. The goal was to depict a 'corrupt person' through a narrative lens without external references

Some details. I tried to give it a traditional painting look by adding various brushstrokes and even pointillism to achieve this result.

Some thumbnails I made very quickly. The goal was to show the client the idea of someone doing something they shouldn't be doing. To create a certain atmospheric tension.

A mockup to visually represent what TTRPG will look like. I also made this mockup using Blender and then inserted some of the elements in Photoshop, like the hand holding the card. It's more practical to insert a photo than to create it entirely in 3D.

Another mockup I made to play around with the upcoming launch. I did it myself, but the client loved it.
