Afro Elf

On November 20th in Brazil, Black Consciousness Day is celebrated. A holiday to remember the sacrifices of slaves and Afro-descendants who died and suffered in search of freedom and equality.
Today I can illustrate, draw what I imagine, including Afro characters. But this is only possible because so many of my ancestors suffered and struggled for a better future, a day when a black person could draw, sing, teach anything and not just do what his owner imposed on him.
Today I am free and I can create what I want.
